In a Gua Sha Session the therapist repeatedly scrapes the tissue with a tool in the direction of muscle fibers to unblock stagnant blood. This breaks up adhesions and fibrous bands in the connective tissue. Gua Sha may leave redness or discoloration (also called petechia) in some areas of the body such as the back or arms or legs. The redness may last a few minutes or a few hours or possibly a few days, but it is safe and pain-free, and the results are amazing! Try this add-on with Shana or Magen.
